Choo Choo Themed Birthday Party

The very next day of my work party out in Navy Pier, I had to attend a birthday party for a two year old.  This time I had to go to La Grange.  Again, the weather was playing tricks on us.  The skies looked bad, but depending on where you were located in the Chicagoland area, some places got hit hard while others didn’t.  Unfortunately, this party was originally supposed to take place at a water park, but they closed at the last minute due to the forecast.  My friend decided instead to throw the party at her place.  Yes at times, it was a little cramped with so many kids, but they had a blast anyways.

I FINALLY made it to recapping July’s events!  Lol.  I am so behind it’s not even funny.  The countdown is on for my big trip.  I want to be able to unload my memory bank to make room for some new ones.  Lol.

My friend decided to host her son’s birthday party again at Skokie’s Exploritorium.  She has expressed that it made things easier if a venue hosts a birthday party than to do a big production at her house.  Since she is also pregnant with her 2^nd child, I can understand how this would be an easier choice for her and her family.  And let’s face it; kids love the place!  There is an open area for games and activities, followed by a reception room that is allowed for catering.  It was nice catching up with all of the kids and their mommies.  Again, this was a very hot day in Chicago.  I wore a shift dress for the party, but I definitely need some sleeveless dresses for summer.  Lol

Golden Year Birthday Party!

My trip is this week and I am nervous as ever.  Not to mention, I’ve been getting migraines more frequently.  I’m not sure if it’s sinus related considering Spring is right around the corner, but the temperatures here in Chicago has been dry and frigid.  I’m wondering if it’s tension.  I hate this!!!  I had trouble sleeping Friday night and the fact that I went out on Saturday with it being Daylight Savings Weekend did not help whatsoever.  Regardless, I did manage to finish up my laundry so I could start packing.  I’ve even have my toiletries together ready on my bathroom counter.  I usually pack that last since I use my products daily. 

Back to recapping my events.  I FINALLY reached March events and the first weekend was an eventful one!  My friends from Michigan were in town to throw a birthday party for their son who turned 2 years old.  It was his Golden Year birthday.  Hopefully he’ll remember how much fun it was!  It was a Sesame Street themed party and the kids loved it.  The kids’ age ranged from infant to 11 years old, but everyone got along great.  Elmo and Cookie Monster even made a cameo appearance!  Lol.  It was great my friends together with their little ones.
